Assistant Finance Manager – China & Taiwan

Location: Shanghai, China
Work Arrangement: Work From Home
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Reports To: AF Group Financial Controller

About the Role:
Addiction Foods is looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager – China & Taiwan to support financial controllership, management reporting, compliance, and business analysis for our China and Taiwan operations.
This is a hands-on finance role combining approximately 40% accounting/control work and 60% management reporting, financial analysis, process improvement, and business support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support month-end close, including GL, bank, inventory, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and management reports.
  • Monitor business performance, margins, operating costs, cash flow, budgets, and working capital.
  • Coordinate China statutory accounting and tax compliance and work with external accountants, tax advisers, and auditors.
  • Coordinate Taiwan finance and compliance activities with local advisers.
  • Support SAP/ERP migration, data reconciliation, process improvement, and finance automation.
  • Analyze China and Taiwan e-commerce/channel profitability, including sales, discounts, platform fees, logistics, and marketing costs.
  • Identify financial risks, cost leakages, and opportunities and provide practical recommendations to management.

Job Requirements:
  • 5–7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in month-end closing, GL, balance-sheet management, reconciliations, management reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Practical China accounting and tax experience is required.
  • Strong ability to prepare and interpret P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
  • SAP or comparable ERP experience is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Mandarin Chinese – native or professional proficiency.
  • Strong business English for communication with regional stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Strong Advantage:
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, consumer products, distribution, or e-commerce.
  • Taiwan accounting/compliance exposure.
  • Experience with SAP migration, finance automation, reconciliation, or process improvement.
  • CPA, CICPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.

We are looking for someone who can combine strong technical accounting discipline with commercial thinking—someone comfortable working hands-on with the numbers while also using financial insights to support business decisions.
