Job Summary: We seek an experienced and dedicated Employee Labor Relations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in labor relations within the Philippines, with additional exposure to labor cases in other countries considered an advantage. This role is pivotal in managing and enhancing our labor relations strategies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering harmonious employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Labor Relations Management:
  • Develop and implement labor relations strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Manage and resolve complex labor relations issues, including grievances, disputes, and negotiations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for labor unions and employee representatives.
Performance Improvement Plans (PIP):
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for employees requiring performance enhancement.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and employees during the PIP process.
  • Ensure PIP processes are fair, transparent, and compliant with labor laws.
Compliance and Legal:
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and interpret labor legislation changes and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Provide guidance on international labor laws where applicable.
Case Management:
  • Handle labor cases effectively, including preparation, documentation, and representation in hearings.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on labor disputes and litigation.
Policy Development:
  • Develop and update labor relations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistent application of labor policies across the organization.
Training and Development:
  • Conduct training sessions for management and employees on labor relations practices and legal compliance.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of labor relations issues within the organization.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare reports on labor relations activities, trends, and outcomes.
  • Analyze labor relations data to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Law, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in labor relations or employment law are preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor relations within the Philippines. Exposure to labor relations in other countries is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of Philippine labor laws and regulations.
    • Familiarity with international labor laws and practices.
    • Strong grasp of collective bargaining, dispute resolution, and grievance handling.
    • Knowledge and experience with Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
  • Skills:
