About the Role:
Addiction Foods is seeking an Engineering Project Coordinator to provide remote technical and project support to our New Zealand Engineering team.
You will use your engineering knowledge, CAD skills and project coordination experience to support manufacturing improvements, equipment installations, upgrades and special projects. The role requires strong technical documentation skills and confidence using digital and AI tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update CAD drawings, equipment drawings and plant layouts.
  • Maintain drawing revisions and engineering document controls.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, actions, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Coordinate follow-ups with Engineering, Production, suppliers and contractors.
  • Support planning for engineering improvements, installations, upgrades and special projects.
  • Prepare scopes of work, SOPs, technical reports and project handover documents.
  • Obtain supplier quotations, specifications, drawings and lead times. Prepare technical and quotation comparisons.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly engineering and project reports.
  • Coordinate completed-project handovers with the site Maintenance Planner for CMMS, asset and maintenance-record updates.
  • Document meeting decisions and follow through on agreed actions.
  • Use approved AI, automation and digital tools to improve documentation, analysis, reporting and repetitive workflows.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, plant engineering, industrial operations or engineering projects.
  • Practical experience with AutoCAD or comparable CAD software.
  • Strong engineering project coordination and technical documentation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing equipment and engineering activities.
  • Strong planning, organisation and follow-up skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with a New Zealand team remotely.
  • Confidence using AI and digital productivity tools, including checking and validating their outputs.

An Advantage:
Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG, project scheduling, RFQ preparation, supplier and contractor comparisons, mechanical or electrical equipment, or maintenance and CMMS environments.
