We are looking for an experienced Freelance Recruiter – Chinese Speaking to support our recruitment requirements in Malaysia, particularly for roles within food manufacturing, supply chain, operations, quality, technical, and commercial functions.
The ideal recruiter has an established sourcing network in Malaysia, understands the talent market for food manufacturing or FMCG companies, and can independently manage candidate sourcing and initial screening.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source qualified candidates for assigned roles across Malaysia.
- Proactively identify candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, databases, industry networks, and direct sourcing.
- Focus on candidates with relevant experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, production, supply chain, quality, engineering, sales, and related functions.
- Conduct initial screening to assess experience, suitability, salary expectations, availability, and motivation.
- Provide qualified candidate shortlists within agreed timelines.
- Maintain accurate candidate information and provide regular recruitment updates.
- Coordinate interviews and follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking candidates and stakeholders when required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or Recruitment Consultant in Malaysia.
- Chinese-speaking capability is required.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing candidates for food manufacturing, FMCG, or related manufacturing companies.
- Strong knowledge of the Malaysia talent market and local recruitment channels.
- Proven ability to independently source passive candidates and build talent pipelines.
- Experience recruiting for manufacturing-related roles such as Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, R&D, Sales, and Finance is highly preferred.
- Strong screening, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Able to work independently and deliver qualified candidates within agreed timelines.
Preferred:
- Existing network of candidates within the Malaysian food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Experience recruiting both specialist and managerial-level positions.
- Experience working on freelance, project-based, or success-fee recruitment assignments.
We are looking for a recruiter who can actively headhunt and deliver relevant candidates, not simply rely on job advertisements.
