Role in China: Position Title: Trade & Marketing Manager (Shanghai)                 
Headcount: 1 (Urgent)
Reporting To: Country Manager

Role Purpose:
Lead and safeguard the brand positioning and execution of Addiction Pet Foods in China, acting as the custodian of all online and offline brand presence, while partnering closely with sales teams and distributors to drive effective trade marketing, visibility, and sell-out growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Brand Custodianship (Online & Offline)
  • Own and ensure consistency of brand image, messaging, and positioning across all channels 
  • Manage brand presence across: 
    • E-commerce platforms (e.g. Tmall, JD.com) 
    • Social & content platforms (e.g. Xiaohongshu, Douyin) 
    • Offline retail and veterinary channels 
  • Trade Marketing & Sales Activation
  • Work closely with sales executives to: 
    • Develop and execute trade promotions and campaigns 
    • Drive sell-out at pet stores, retailers, and vet clinics 
  • Ensure alignment between: 
    • Brand strategy 
    • Commercial objectives 
    • Channel-specific execution 
  • Distributor & Channel Marketing Support
  • Partner with distributors to: 
    • Deploy in-store visibility and promotional materials 
    • Execute localized campaigns 
  • Guide distributors on brand guidelines and campaign execution standards 
  • Partnerships & Brand Building
  • Identify and drive strategic partnerships (retailers, platforms, KOLs) 
  • Plan and execute participation in trade shows and key events across cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Beijing 
  • Build brand awareness and premium positioning in target markets 
  • Campaign & Content Management
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns (online + offline) 
  • Oversee content creation including: 
    • Product education 
    • Brand storytelling 
    • Promotional materials 
  • Ensure relevance to Chinese consumers and pet owner trends 
  • Market Insights & Performance Tracking
  • Monitor: 
    • Campaign effectiveness 
    • Consumer engagement 
    • Competitor activities
  • Translate insights into actionable improvements for campaigns and trade execution 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field 
  • Min 5 of experience in: 
    • Trade marketing / brand management / channel marketing 
  • Experience in: 
    • China market (e-commerce + offline retail) 
    • FMCG, pet food, or premium consumer brands preferred 
  • Strong understanding of: 
    • Digital platforms (Tmall, Douyin, Xiaohongshu) 
    • Distributor-driven markets

  • Able to bridge marketing strategy and on-ground execution
